Who am I?

I make documentary films and write books and do podcasts.  I’m in the midst of my life work, which is The ScaredSacred Project, began in 1999 and concluding in 2012.  It is a cycle of feature documentaries,  creative non-fiction novels, webcasts and conferences driven by the search for possibility in a time of darkness, centered on the question: how can we turn end times into new beginnings?  It is fueled by the belief that these tumultuous times are the growing pains of the planet, as we grope our way through a stormy adolescence towards a spiritual maturity, in the midst of very real threats of global collapse.

We are currently distributing ScaredSacred, a feature documentary, which is part 1 of the ScaredSacred Trilogy, based on my five year journey to the ground zero’s of the world, in search of stories of transformation in the face of crisis.  ScaredSacred has been launched theatrically across Canada with tremendous sucess and is now moving into the rest of the world, after picking up awards at festivals around the world.  

Right now in the middle of shooting ‘FierceLight’, part two of the ScaredSacred trilogy, about the rising phenomena of ‘Spiritual Activism’ that is unfolding around the world. Contemporary stories in the vein of Gandhi and Martin Luther King. It is about the unbelievable power that happens when spirit meets action, a zeitgeist that’s building around the world. I’m in the midst of shooting now - you can follow my unfolding journey through the coming months via my blogs and video diaries.
